Description
This dataset contains the species occurrence record of zooxanthellate reef‐building corals at 1059 sites on the Japanese coast, recorded from 1929 to 2020. We compiled coral occurrence data including 482 species from 162 literature sources, most of which were written in Japanese and published as gray literature in local journals or individual reports. This dataset is published as a data paper in Ecological Research (see https://doi.org/10.1111/1440-1703.12136).
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 29,864 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
